Mrs Mawby – Learning Coach

Mawby, Nikki

After leaving full time education at a  Technical college in 1991, this led me on my career path to a very rewarding, adventurous career in Her Majesty’s Armed Forces. In my role as a full-time soldier, driver/mechanic with The Royal Logistic Corps  Working in varied roles I also qualified as a Driving Instructor, being able to inspire and create enthusiasm, give instructions clearly and plan lessons.

I have had the pleasure to work in Austria, Denmark, Germany and Northern Ireland. I have experienced a variety of cultures and been fortunate to work alongside many inspiring people.

I have been working in the education sector since 2006.   Not only because I have a lot of patience and a sense of humour but because all students have their distinctive characters, spirits and attitude which for me I find my working days are never the same. My role as an HLTA  / Crew leader and sport’s coach covers a wide range of duties at XP school. I enjoy supporting, mentoring, teaching and listening to students speak and share their ideas and reasonings. It’s a rewarding career to mentor students and watch them flourish and articulate themselves throughout their school life.
