Above all compassion

Times are hard, tempers are strained and we are all living in uncertainty.

To add to this a student at XP who attends the school provision as his mother is a key worker sadly had his bike stolen this week.

This was both shocking and upsetting to all staff, students and our community.

In times like this it is far too easy for us to see the worst in people and our culture, but in the end only kindness matters.

As crew leader I saw it a necessity to act, mainly because of the inundation of support from our XP community to help support Alfie in replacing his bike. Although we can’t replace the sentimental loss we can provide a small act of kindness.

Then together our small act of kindness can grow into something greater: bringing happiness to Alfie but most of all highlighting the compassion that we stand for at XP.

Here is the link to the JustGiving page set up to collect donations to help out.

I am blown away with the amount of support we have received within the 11 hours this site has been live. This is a metaphor for the kindness and love in the world that is often over shadowed by negative media. So please support if you are able to as your little act of kindness will mean more than you can ever imagine.
