C22 POL An Inspector Calls

Just as a reminder that the C22 POL will be on Wednesday 4th July for Skipper and Thursday 5th July for Admiral, commencing at 6pm in XP East.

Before the performance, students will be expected to stay for a full dress rehearsal from 3.30pm. Please ensure students are provided with a packed lunch with this in mind, as students will not have time to leave school.

Also, each student needs to be dressed in full black clothing for the performance.

We would really appreciate if you could continue to help your son/daughter learn their lines as the performance draws nearer.

Thanks for your continued support. Looking forward to seeing you there!

C22 POL

I’m delighted to announce that the C22 POL performance of An Inspector Calls will be on Wednesday the 4th July for SKIPPER and Thursday the 5th July for ADMIRAL, from 6pm.

We’d really appreciate if you could help your child to learn his/her lines from their scripts in the meantime. The sooner students learn these the better the performances will be!

Thanks, as always, for your continued support and we look forward to seeing you all there!

Y9 Expert Visit

On Friday, in year 9, we hosted an expert from Doncaster museum talking to us about crime and punishment in the medieval period, linking to our current humanities expedition ‘I fought the law and the law won!’ Year 9 had the opportunity to handle and observe artefacts, alongside dressing-up in medieval clothing!

Here’s just a few pictures…

Y9 FIELDWORK 6th MARCH- Admiral and Skipper

Y9 fieldwork for both Admiral and Skipper will be taking place on Monday 6th March, the first day back after the half-term holidays.

We will be leaving school after crew at around 9.30 and we should arrive back at school before the end of the school day.

All students must bring a packed lunch, warm outdoor clothing and comfortable footwear.

Student should re-read the chapters handed to them in class which include the artilleryman (Book 1 Chapter 11 and Book 2 Chapter 7) and must examine how the artilleryman changes. Students must ‘track’ the text (select and highlight key points) and write a brief summative answer of how/why they believe he’s changed, using quotations to support their answer.
