For Y9 extended study this week, students must read the 1st two chapters of War of the Worlds Book 2 and answer the accompanying comprehension questions. Admiral will be tested on their knowledge of these chapters on Monday the 16th and Skipper on Friday the 13th.

Just a reminder that Y9 Admiral will be out on fieldwork tomorrow, 3rd Jan and Y9 Skipper on Wednesday 4th Jan.
Please remember to bring a packed lunch, make sure you are wearing warm clothing (big coats, hats, gloves and scarves necessary) and wear comfortable footwear that you don’t mind getting dirty/muddy.
We will be leaving school at 8.30 and will arrive back at approximately 3.30, traffic permitting.
Students have been set 3 study tasks to complete over the half-term holidays.
Reading book 1 of ‘War of the Worlds’ with the texts that all students have been given. Students will also need to respond to the comments made on their historical essays and complete their final draft, alongside typing up their solider empathy responses from their books.
We will be hosting an Art Gallery Celebration of Learning to show the culmination of beautiful work that year 9’s have produced in the Guns, Germs and Steel expedition.
