Last night a selection of students from XP and XP East attended the Group D match up between tournament favourites France and Belgium. The students had a brilliant evening at Rotherham’s New York Stadium accompanied by the PE team.
The game was a exciting one played at a fast pace where underdogs Belgium pushed France all the way seeing out a 2-1 victory, not helped by captain Wendie Renard who missed a penalty and the ensuing open goal after VAR gave France a penalty for a handball in the box.
Good luck to both teams for the rest of the tournament but hopefully football is coming home with the lionesses.
