Who needs McDonalds……. not us!

6 students from Post 16 have had their first session cooking today for part of the life skills section of their XP Diploma.

And what a fab start!

They each cooked Sausage, egg and cheese mcMuffins.

Prior to this they have each completed the Safety & hygiene level 2 award in food.

Here are some photos of a really fun afternoon.

Keep posted for what we cook up next week!

The Post-16 information evening has been re-scheduled to Thursday 7th November, at 5pm in XP East.

Following feedback from some students and families that they would find it a challenge to make it to the event whilst on their work placements, we have moved the event to make sure that it is inclusive for all of our X22 students.

Thanks for your continued support and communication.

Post 16 Crew

We are pleased to have welcomed our pioneers of Post 16.  The students have chosen a variety of A levels, BTEC, EPQ, Art Awards and are working on their digital portfolios towards the XP diploma. They have all had taster sessions on their chosen subjects and some went into other taster classes to ensure they have chosen the subject that is right for them.  On Friday 6th students visited the Peak District to enjoy team building and crew activities.

Post 16 Update

Just a reminder that Post 16 students do not start until Monday 2 September. Students need to arrive at the usual time of 8.30 and report to the Sixth Form area at XP East. If any college students have any concerns about this conflicting with their college start time then contact the school this week to discuss.

We are really looking forward to you being part of our pioneering Post 16 provision.
