XP is a school built by design.
As such we have clear design principles that underpin all the work we do.
We can articulate our design principles in one sentence:
“At XP, we build our community through activism, leadership and equity, sharing our stories as we go…”
Our Character Traits: ‘Respect, Courage, Craftsmanship and Quality, Integrity and Above all compassion,’ and our Habits of Work and Learning (HoWLs), ‘Work Hard, Get Smart and Be Kind,’ help us to realise these principles everyday and they are values and skills that we pay attention to, and cultivate, so that we can become the best versions of ourselves and thereby make our community and wider world a better place.
