Launching Our New Expedition with Real-World Immersion

Dear X32 Parents and Guardians,

We are thrilled to be launching our new expedition with a powerful fieldwork visit. To ground the students in the learning and provide immediate real-world context, X32 students will be traveling to Hyde Park Cemetery to engage with the legacy project left by the previous C31 cohort. This is a crucial first step in building the foundation for their own final product.

Student Preparation Checklist

As we will be spending time outdoors in January and walking to the site, appropriate preparation is vital for your child’s comfort and safety:

  1. Headphones: Essential for engaging with the audio component of the C31 legacy work.
  2. Warm Coat: A warm, waterproof, or weather-appropriate coat is mandatory.
  3. Appropriate Footwear: Please ensure your child wears sturdy, comfortable footwear suitable for walking and being outdoors on potentially uneven ground (e.g., strong trainers, walking boots).
  4. Layers: Encourage your child to dress in layers to stay warm.

Thank you for your cooperation and support as we begin this exciting expedition journey!
