This morning, on our way in to school, Mr Morrison and I had noticed an abundance of litter around site. This had blown in from Doncaster Rovers, from the car parks, out of the bins in school… and it was everywhere!
Crew Peake did what we do best – became activists! We donned the hi-vis vests, collected the litter pickers, and headed outside!
We now have a beautiful, litter-free site – well done, crew!
At XP Trust, we’re proud to be long-standing partners and friends of EL Education. We take part in Better World Week every year – not as a one-off event, but as an extension of the work we do every day in our schools. Like EL, we believe that learning should be purposeful, rooted in community, and driven by the desire to make a positive impact. It’s a shared mission that sits at the heart of our relationship and everything we do.
In every XP school, students take on meaningful work that matters to real people. From campaigning for local change to producing high-quality expedition products that leave a legacy, our young people learn not just how to succeed – but how to contribute. Better World Week gives us the opportunity to shine a light on that work, celebrate the voices of our students, and stand alongside a global network of educators who are committed to doing things differently…

Just like at EL, at XP this isn’t a one-off event – it’s the work we do every day. But this week gives us a moment to pause, reflect, and share the incredible ways our students have stepped up.
In the last year, they have:
Hosted tea parties to tackle loneliness
Campaigned for safer streets around their schools
Created environmental art with purpose
Challenged inequality through powerful public products
Brought communities together
…and that’s just the beginning.
You can read all about their beautiful, purposeful work here:
Doncaster Rovers Under 18s are playing Port Vale at the Eco Power stadium on Friday May 2nd Kick off at 3pm. If you would like to go please email Miss O’Grady with how many tickets you require. Tickets are free.
Last week the XP Doncaster cheerleading team competed against other schools across Doncaster and put out a brilliant performance. It was excellent to see them showcasing their routine. The girls came second overall and are excited for the upcoming performances that they have. Well done Xplosion!!
We would like to invite C29 parents to join us for an information evening on Wednesday 30th April 2025 from 5 – 6pm. This event will take place at XP East (on the main stairs).
The evening gives parents an opportunity to understand the structure of LooL (Leaders of Our Own Learning) for our current year 9 students as they progress to Year 10 and beyond in Key Stage 4.
We encourage you to take advantage of this event, to ensure you and your child are well-prepared for the exciting journey ahead.
If you are unable to attend, information can be shared by crew leaders, please contact them for this information following the event.
If you have any further queries, please contact Mrs Poncia (KS4 Lead) at kponcia@xpschool.org or myself (XP Y10/11 Phase Lead).
We look forward to seeing you there, supporting your child’s educational development!
