Do you have a young person who is curious about technology, enjoys solving problems, and wants to help shape the future?
Applications are now open for a fully funded residential AI Summer School for students aged 14–17. Participants will have the opportunity to work with experts, visit leading organisations, and collaborate with like-minded young people from across the country.

Please note that the programme takes place during our first week back at school due to differing term dates. We are keen to support students who successfully secure a place, so please let us know if you apply!
This morning was another brilliant start to the day with C28 before their English exam! Over the past few weeks, Crew breakfasts have become part of every morning exam; a chance to come together, have some breakfast, go over last minute revision and check in with each other before heading into their exams.
A huge thank you also has to go to the C28 Crew Leaders, who have been giving up their own time each morning to support students during exam time. Whether that has been organising breakfast, helping with revision, calming nerves or simply being there for conversations before exams, their support has made a massive difference.
I am so proud of the resilience and maturity Year 11 are showing throughout exam season. It is a long and tiring few weeks, but they continue to show up, support one another and give everything their best effort in revision sessions!
I know they are going to smash their English exam this morning! They have absolutely earned the chance to rest and recharge before the final push begins after half term.
This week’s lost property has now been organised and is ready for collection.
If you have recently misplaced any clothing, footwear, or personal belongings, please visit the XP Office to check whether your items have been handed in.
All unclaimed items will be held until the end of next week. After this time, any remaining belongings will be donated to charity so they can be put to good use.
If you think you may have lost something, please come and check as soon as possible.
We would like to invite parents and carers to Y10’s first Teacher-Student Led conferences on Monday, 8th June 2026.
These conferences will provide parents with an opportunity to meet with subject-specific teachers, allow students to discuss and reflect on their progress in different subjects following their upcoming mock exams and look at their own areas for development as they move towards Y11.
Students will be given a booking form which will allow them to book a time between 14:30 and 17:00. These will be booked on a first come first served basis so please ask your child to see their booking form and suggest a time to meet teaching staff.
It was lovely to welcome Crew Caldwell back after their week of work experience last week.
This morning we had a check-in where students were able to share where they completed their work experience and what they got up to during the week. It was great to hear many of them reflect on how valuable the experience had been, particularly in helping them feel more prepared to make their college choices in the near future.
Just a reminder;
We have some college taster days coming up in Term 3B (Doncaster college is the 23rd June and John Leggott is the 3rd July), which will hopefully help students further confirm the choices they would like to make for college.
We also have TSLC’s happening on Monday 8th June (for XP) – teachers will be beginning to take appointments for this soon.
Students recently enjoyed an exciting trip to watch Leeds Rhino’s V Manchester Thunder, giving them the chance to experience the fast-paced action and atmosphere of the game up close.
From the first whistle to the final score, students were captivated by the speed, skill and teamwork on display. The energy inside the arena was electric, with plenty of cheering, excitement and memorable moments throughout the match.
The trip was not only a fantastic opportunity to watch elite athletes perform, but also an inspiring experience for students involved in school sport. Seeing the communication, determination and sportsmanship shown by the players highlighted the importance of teamwork both on and off the court.
A brilliant evening was had by all, and students left feeling motivated, inspired and ready for the netball season.
Last week saw E30 take on their Duke of Edinburgh practice expedition. It was a fantastic two days for these students, who demonstrated determination, courage, resilience and teamwork throughout.
The rain arrived earlier than expected, so tents went up in record time as the group worked together to get set up and cook some scrumptious food. An early morning start led to a few tired eyes, but they took it all in their stride and were ready for the walk ahead.
