Further to my announcement today, I can confirm that our Y11 online provision will follow their normal timetable during the isolation period of 10 days. Students will return to school after the Easter bank holiday weekend on Wednesday 7th April.
Therefore – Crew, all lessons, community meetings, break, lunch and the end of the school day should run at the normal times as highlighted in the timetable below.
If a student tests positive for Covid19 via our in school testing provision, or indeed via a home testing kit, they must arrange a follow up test with the NHS as the tests that they use are more accurate. If the NHS test was to return as negative, the year bubble would return to school. I can confirm that the family in question has indeed completed a test with the NHS today.
A final note is to say that every single student in Y11 behaved impeccably today. Upon my announcement to Skipper and Admiral that they would need to go home, there was no cheering or excitement. Instead, the mood was quite sombre because they just want to be in school, cracking on with their studies. Myself and our staff are gutted that the year group won’t be in school, but we are determined to ensure that their online provision is as effective as it possibly can be.
