A Level and GCSE Results 2021

Well, what a week it has been!

On Tuesday, we saw our very first set of A Level results with students achieving fantastic grades and, thankfully, the majority of students who had applied to university securing their first choice. On Thursday, X23 were centre stage and we celebrated for the third year in a row outstanding GCSE results.

What struck me the most about the results this year was that our students have performed incredibly well whilst facing, and overcoming, the significant challenges of the past eighteen months. Whilst they have demonstrated academic success, the most significant achievement has been in the growth of character of our young people. Not only are they more than ready for their next steps, either into Post 16 provision, employment, apprenticeships or university, but also they have become equipped to make a difference to their communities, the country and the world. They have all acquired the skills, and deepened their compassion, to continue to be positive agents for social change and to be active stewards for their communities, the wider world, themselves and each other. And we all know this is more important now than at any other point in human history.

So whilst grades are important and they open doors to opportunity, we know that developing character, creating beautiful work and being kind and considerate human beings is how we should really measure our contribution to the world.

I want to congratulate all our students on their exam success but most of all I’d like to thank them for the pleasure of their company and the privilege of sharing their learning journey and growth of character over the years,

Remember, you are, and always will be, part of XP! Therefore, keep in touch, let us know how you are getting on and if you need anything, just let us know.

Go out and change the world for the better!

In crew,

Andy Sprakes.
