What a fantastic morning…today X1 and X2 constructed hearts out of clay. This is before the challenge of making their chosen organs out of clay…but a little bit bigger. I wanted to give them the experience of moulding, manipulating and adding extra pieces of clay such as the aorta and the pulmonary veins. Excited for them to start their product next week.
A fantastic start back to school for C24. Congratulations to all the students who received a praise butterfly this week, especially JD who received three in one week! Keep up the hard work.
This week in C24 students have been studying rebellion in the Medieval Period. Starting by exploring the feudal system and analysing its impact. The students have worked really hard on the craftsmanship and quality of their book work. An excellent start has been made to the expedition by all students! Let’s keep it up!
Congratulations to these students in C24 who have received praise butterflies for their beautiful work in sessions this week. Keep up the hard work!
On Thursday 29th November, C24 students will be going on fieldwork to The International Slavery Museum in Liverpool.
We will be setting off from XP School at 8am. Therefore, students MUST be at school in time to leave.
Students will need to bring a packed lunch to eat whilst we are at the Museum.
We expect to return to school for 3.30pm.
I would like to take this opportunity to apologise for not providing this information sooner. We have been waiting for the Museum to confirm arrangements which has taken much longer than expected.
Well what an amazing week for X24! This week students have worked exceptionally hard in all sessions. From delivering presentations in STEAM, to becoming detectives researching the Ku Klux Klan, nothing has phased them! Here are some of the students who received a praise butterfly to reward their hard work and effort this week.
Congratulations to all of you! Keep up the hard work!
This week students have been analysing what life was like for African American people after the end of slavery. As part of this the students took part in an interactive session where they worked collaboratively to investigate source material on the Ku Klux Klan. The students level of maturity and depth of discussion in both sessions was very impressive. Well done X24, keep up the hard work!
