Class of 24 (Yr7) Fieldwork

**** UPDATE****** If students require to take travel sickness medication please can you ensure they take the medication in the morning before school.  If medication is needed for the journey back, please place tablets in a clear plastic bag, with students name on it and instructions for when the tablet needs to be taken.

The Year 7 fieldwork will be taking place next week at the National Coal Mining Museum.

Skipper will visit the museum on Wednesday 6th September and Admiral will visit the museum on Thursday 7th September.

Students will be leaving school and returning during the school day.

They will need a pack up lunch, though we can provide one for students who do not pay for school meals.

Students will be going down the mine shaft, and it is quite cold down there so they will need a hoodie or top to put on over a t shirt, comfortable shoes (no heels) are also recommended.

School bags are put in a store once parties arrive.  So ideally students should bring their pack up in a plastic bag as they will need to dispose of them once they have eaten. Students will only need to bring a pen other than their pack up.
