We have been notified that a student has tested positive for Covid19 in Y8/X26 at XP. We have been able to identify students who now need to self isolate until Tuesday 13th July – returning to school on Tuesday 13th July.
The year bubble can remain OPEN. Further positive cases in the year bubble would require additional advice from Public Health England.
We have communicated with all parents of the isolating students concerned. If we have not contacted you, your child should come into school as normal.
We will now move to a hybrid educational provision where students will be taught in class and at home at the same time – we have become adept at this style of approach due to the issues that we have faced throughout the pandemic.
All students should continue to take the Lateral Flow Tests that school have provided every Sunday and Wednesday, and record the results here.
I have spoken to the parent of the child who tested positive today and although the student is feeling poorly, they are doing fine.
