Visit from the Victoria Cross Trust

We were extremely lucky to have a visit from the staff over at the Victoria Cross on the Lakeside. Mick and Keith came to speak to C27 about WW1 and men from our local area who have fought in the war as well as men who have been awarded the Victoria Cross. They also brought with them some WW1 weaponry and the students were immersed in the knowledge and artefacts Mick and Keith shared with them!

The Victoria Cross Trust is an extremely important charity working in our local area. A part of their work is uncovering local history as well as cleaning graves of soldiers who have died in war. Please check out their website https://victoriacrosstrust.org

The students were so intrigued by them, some of them even went over to their shop after school to find out more!!
