X21 students have been given the opportunity to attend Doncaster Chambers Skills Fest event this Thursday from 1.30pm until 3pm. The event will allow students to meet and engage with a variety of employers and providers to better inform their next steps.
Skills Fest 2019 will include:
- Information to raise awareness of Apprenticeships
- Attendance by local businesses providing information on careers within their companies
- Employed young people with real life experiences of what to expect in employment and what career progression options are available
- ‘Have a Go’ activities provided by a variety of organisations in different industries to give the young people a taster of what is involved in the workplace
- Interactive Workshops
- Representation from colleges and universities to help students understand their next step options in education
The event is being held at the Dome so it our intention to walk over with students and dismiss them from the Dome at 3pm. Students are more than welcome to return to school at 3pm with staff and be dismissed from there, if that is more appropriate.
This should be a really informative and enjoyable afternoon!
