XP GCSE Results 2020

Every student receiving their GCSE results this today have done so in circumstances none of us could have imagined.

Our focus over the last months has very much been supporting all our students across the Trust – whether in their GCSE year or not. This holistic approach is part of our We Are Crew ethos and the importance of character and integrity that helps our students become the best versions of themselves.

We had last year as a Trust our very first GCSE results and we were very pleased with the outcome.

This year is no different – in the wider sense as well that we are so very proud of all our Year 11 students who have dealt with an unimaginable situation with positivity and resilience.

The results are as we hoped for and even more, building on the exceptional grades in History, Science and English last year.

This is not perhaps a moment in these extraordinary times for any school to focus on their successes or otherwise, it is a moment to now look forward and in our case, be grateful that the hard work of students and the dedication of our staff, has yielded the results that will enable all of our Year 11’s to move forward confidently to the next stage of their education.

We will be with them at every step whether they choose to stay with us at XP for Post 16 study or go elsewhere.

We wish all our students well. We are proud of what they have achieved – but even more importantly who they have become and the difference they will make in a world that needs good people more than ever before.

Jamie Portman (Principal of XP and XP East) and Andy Sprakes (Chief Academic Officer of XP Trust)
