DofE Activities, from start to finish:

Doing your activity:

1. Choose your activity and decide if it is going to be for 3 months or 6 months.
2. Contact the person who is going to be your assessor / instructor / coach and confirm your activity with them.
3. In your first session give your assessor the relevant Assessors guidance notes which is in your welcome pack. This will help them understand what it is you are doing (remember your assessor cannot be a relative).
4. Discuss with your assessor your aims and goals, making sure they are S.M.A.R.T. (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant & Timely)
5. Enter your activity details into your eDofE portfolio and submit for approval from KAP or GAP.
6. Keep a weekly record using your activity log (these are available in the library or can be printed from the DofE google classroom) making sure your assessor initials it to confirm your attendance.
7. Provide evidence of your activity progression by uploading photos / pictures / information to your eDofE portfolio.
8. There will be 1 crew session every other week for DofE where you will discuss with your crew leader what you are doing / how you are achieving your goals and tracking your progress.
9. When you have completed an activity ask your assessor to complete the assessors report which can be done directly online by going to www.DofE.org/assessor or by completing the assessors report in your assessors booklet. Make sure you scan the hand written report and add to your eDofE as evidence of completion.
10. If you have any problems with your activity inform KAP or GAP or your crew leader.
