PE in Week 2: Tuesday 1st – Friday 4th September

Year 7 will need PE kit for Friday only to acces the session run by Doncaster Rovers. For this session, students must bring; T-shirt, shorts, football socks, shin pads and football boots/astro turf shoes. Students who do not bring correct kit will be unable to access sessions for safety reasons. Students in Year 7 will begin formal PE sessions with Mr Voltaire next week during X Block. Look out for a further post before the weekend explaining which day your child needs to bring kit.

Year 8 students will all need to bring kit, everyday that they are in school (i.e. when they are not on the coal mining visit).

Students will be taking part in physical activities linked to their first STEM expedition so will require kit for class work as well as normal PE sessions.

8 Skipper must bring kit: Tuesday, Thursday, Friday.

8 Admiral must bring kit: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday

Year 8 should bring T-shirt, shorts, socks and sports shoes everyday. Additionally, they will need to bring football boots, shin pads and football socks for Fridays’s session with Doncaster Rovers.

Many thanks

Mr Voltaire

Expedition 4 Skipper Fieldwork

Skipper head to Sandall Beat Woods to explore this wonderful place that has been carefully maintained by volunteers and friends of Sandall Beat Woods. After a cold start, it turned out nice and we were able to find out information about Doncaster’s evolving landscape. Remember to wrap up warm again tomorrow!!

Admiral Fieldwork – Tomorrow!

Just a reminder that Admiral will be out of school on Fieldwork tomorrow (we will leave school at approximately 10.15am) at Sheffield Hallam University and afterwards watching a west end production of To Kill a Mockingbird at the Lyceum Theatre. We will have lunch in the Winter Gardens so students will need a packed lunch. The weather is forecast to be cold so warm clothing and sensible footwear is recommended and as we are visiting a theatre students must be dressed smartly (no jogging bottoms, football tops etc.)

Students will need to bring their University ID cards so that we can access University buildings without delay.

As mentioned in previous posts we are hoping to be back between 5.30 and 5.45. If there are significant delays we will allow students to contact you to update you with our arrival time at XP.

We are looking forward to an amazing day!

Thank you for your continuing support of our mission.

P.S. Remember Skipper it’s your turn on Thursday!!!

Student Photographs

Student photos will be on sale from Monday 26th January.

We have decided to sell the electronic copies to parents so they are able to print off as many copies as they like. We will therefore need either a current email address or USB stick to get the photos to you.

If you would like to view the photos before deciding whether to buy them, please come in to school and Miss Blair will be able to let you preview them.

Payment will be required in advance. Please see prices below.
