X24 Eyam Village fieldwork

Students from X24 will be visiting Eyam over the next two days. This visit will take place entirely within the school day (traffic dependent), therefore students require a packed lunch.

Admiral: Wednesday 4th September

Skipper: Thursday 5th September

Students will be spending some of their time walking and so will need to bring appropriate clothing and footwear, the current weather forecast suggests that we will have rain on Wednesday.

X23 Beautiful work

This week for the Maths part of Bio shock, in preparation for starting product, X23 have been learning about the different types of diagrams they could produce based on the data they have collected. As you can see below, some of the work both Admiral and Skipper have been producing has been beautiful:

X23 Bioshock Fieldwork

X23 have had 4 data collecting fieldwork events so far and there last one is next week. They are continually becoming self led as they are gaining expertise in the practice. This weeks visit to grove gardens was wonderful, all participants worked hard to collectively gather the data needed. Students were able to start straight away with collecting data, which they will then be able to analyse and explain how biodiverse Doncaster is and what can be done to improve this (if necessary).

X23 “Elementary” Presentation of Learning

We would like to invite you to the Presentation of Learning for X23.

Skipper’s POL will be held on the 27th March

Admiral’s POL will be held on the 28th March

The presentation will start at 17:30 at XP school. Students will be delivering a lecture about the structure of the periodic table, the atomic structure, atomic size and chemical reactions. This is a vital part of the expedition for students as it allows them to express their learning and understanding from the expedition.

C22 POL An Inspector Calls

Just as a reminder that the C22 POL will be on Wednesday 4th July for Skipper and Thursday 5th July for Admiral, commencing at 6pm in XP East.

Before the performance, students will be expected to stay for a full dress rehearsal from 3.30pm. Please ensure students are provided with a packed lunch with this in mind, as students will not have time to leave school.

Also, each student needs to be dressed in full black clothing for the performance.

We would really appreciate if you could continue to help your son/daughter learn their lines as the performance draws nearer.

Thanks for your continued support. Looking forward to seeing you there!

C22 POL

I’m delighted to announce that the C22 POL performance of An Inspector Calls will be on Wednesday the 4th July for SKIPPER and Thursday the 5th July for ADMIRAL, from 6pm.

We’d really appreciate if you could help your child to learn his/her lines from their scripts in the meantime. The sooner students learn these the better the performances will be!

Thanks, as always, for your continued support and we look forward to seeing you all there!
