FXP Family quiz night! – Friday 13th October at 6pm

#FXP would like to invite you to their first social event of the school year!

They are hosting a FAMILY QUIZ NIGHT, with a mix of questions on different subjects covering separate eras, so that **all** ages are able to take part

They can’t wait to welcome all our crew, new & existing to what promises to be a fab, FUNdraiser to start the year!

Letters will be handed out in the carpark/after school soon & tickets will be available to pre-book only for this event, so that we can be sure to cater for all our guests! (Please return your entry form/payment with any special dietary requirements by Friday 6th October please).

Get your thinking caps on & your team together there are prizes for the best name and a mixed hamper prize for the winning team!

Tickets priced £20 per table/team and includes a cold buffet – maximum table/team size of 6 people. All ages welcome! See you there

The gardening group are hoping to build an eco greenhouse at school. We need 1,300 (2 litre) pop bottles rinsed and sent into school. Please take them to crew with you and someone from the gardening group will collect them. Please don’t take them to reception.

Donate a bauble!

Our 8 ft Christmas tree will be arriving Friday morning and we are asking students to donate just ONE bauble each to decorate our tree. Please could you bring your bauble / decoration and hand in to your crew leader by Friday morning.

Feedback for DofE….

Hi, I wanted to know how year 9 parents feel about how the Duke of Edinburgh award is going? Do you feel you have enough information or are you totally confused about what your kids are doing? I’d love some feedback on it as this is its first year and want to make it a real success for everyone involved. So either put it on here or email me [email protected]. Basically the DofE award is student lead and they are responsible for their progress, however I understand how frustrating it can be from a parent point of view if you feel shut out….. so let me know your thoughts please…..

Duke of Edinburgh helpers wanted.

Are there any parents / carers who would like to volunteer to help with the Duke of Edinburgh activity sessions on a Friday from 2.15pm till 3.15pm? There are activities such as gardening, clean up crew, table tennis, robotics and more. You don’t need to know anything about the activity as they already have a supervisor / assessor, however if you do that would be cool. I could just do with a few helpers. Do you have any unwanted Kids Walking Boots or Waterproofs?

Hi,

I was wondering if any of you have any unwanted walking boots (size 3 upwards) that your kids no longer need and would like to donate them to our Outward Bound equipment. Also waterproof jackets and trousers would be appreciated too.

Students are expected to have their own walking boots and waterproofs however it is useful to have spares.

Please could equipment be in good condition so that they will be purposeful to the person borrowing them.

XP Ladies Fashion Show & Pop up Shop

FXP have to confirm numbers of purchased tickets for the fashion show by this Friday (9th September) so they will be on sale in the car park at the end of the day and also from 8am tomorrow before school. Alternatively, you can send money in with students who can buy tickets from reception. Please bring as many people as you can to support our kids. Half price high street fashion and a fashion show included.
