The first of the year 10 taster days will take place on Thursday 19th June at John Leggott college. Students will be leaving school at 9.30am and should arrive back by 3:15pm depending on traffic. All students will be provided with a lunch at the college or they can bring a packed lunch and will take part in a taster session in the morning and afternoon. The students have chosen the sessions that they would like to attend. XP Is proud to offer students a range of opportunities to help them make informed decisions about their next steps as they prepare to move into year 11.

The 2nd opportunity is Doncaster college on the 24th June, again students have chosen their taster sessions and will receive a letter this week with information about what they need to wear for the sessions. As Doncaster college has more vocational subjects this is really important. Doncaster college will provide meal vouchers for all students entitled to free school meals. Otherwise students should bring a packed lunch or can purchase a meal in the cafe, please be aware the college has a cashless payment system.

Our 3rd college visit on 14th July is to New College Doncaster, this is a morning visit and students have chosen 2 taster sessions. Lunch will be back at school so they will not need to change their usual routine.

This is a fantastic opportunity for students to begin to think about their choices as they prepare to leave XP.
