Phenomenal Character Traits Shown in 8 Explorer’s English

WOW! What an incredible session 8 Explorer had this afternoon. They were fully engaged in their English lesson with Mr Wilmot.

Their focus and enthusiasm was clear as they gave fantastic answers to Mr Wilmot’s questions about the book. I saw numerous students consult their anchor text to double check their answers and show courage when they gave their responses.

Additionally, their books show the highest levels of quality and craftsmanship. There was not a single book that I was not thrilled with. It shows this class are productive and engaged in sessions.

I cannot wait to see more of your books and hear your theories about your anchor text!

C31 – Engaged in English

It was a pleasure to drop into Ms Cross and Miss Buckley’s sessions this afternoon and see how our C31 cohort are finding Lord of the Flies.

There were excellent demonstrations of protocols such as unpicking the DLT key vocabulary, the building of a shared glossary and fantastic dramatic reading.

It is wonderful to see our students thinking deeply and building their knowledge of our anchor text, Lord of the Flies.

Year 11 Working Hard, Getting Smart & Being Kind!

I had the privilege of popping into Year 11 sessions this morning and captured some gorgeous work!

Mr Voltaire’s science class were working on rates of reaction – Liam threw some brilliant vocabulary in there, talking about reactions having a directly proportional relationship!

Mr Smith’s class were all engaged and working hard on hormone systems; beautiful work being created in that classroom, too!! A massive shout out to Autumn for the gorgeous, gorgeous revision work! Look at that craftsmanship & quality!

Keep up the phenomenal work Year 11 – get those stamps earned!
